LA campus gets new student paper
date Friday, July 28, 1972
location LA campus
With the departure of The Graphic to the Malibu campus, students on the LA campus began a new publication called Inner View, which declared its primary focus to be "news that affects the L.A. campus community." The debut edition featured stories on the Malibu sewer saga, the construction of the Firestone Fieldhouse, and PE offerings at the Malibu campus, as well as a broken sprinkler on the LA campus that watered more cars than lawns.1
The paper was published for four years before folding with the termination of the journalism program on the LA campus in 1976, when only a handful of residential students remained at Vermont and 79th.2
