Malibu provost Jerry Hudson told The Graphic that ten dormitories would be ready for the opening of the Malibu campus in September. The first was due to be completed July 31, with an additional one following every three days thereafter. Two more dorms had been ordered but would not be completed in time for the beginning of the term. Students were told to expect bunking three to a room (but no more than ten to a four-room suite) while construction continued.¹
